Perian aka Codec for Mac
Perian is a free, open source QuickTime component that adds native support for many popular video formats.
Download: http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/22923/perian
Below is a step by step guide on how to install Perian 1.0 on your Mac.
Step 0: Download the software onto your Mac:
Step 1: Double click on the file “Perian 1.0.dmg” and it will be mounted in a few seconds:
Step 2: Double click on the Perian.prefPane to install Perian on your “System Preferences“:
Step 3: Your System Preferences window should come up shortly:
Personally I would like to install it for all users of this computer instead of just this user only. After you have made your choices, click on the Install button:
Step 4: If Perian is not installed, you won’t see a “Installed Version” number, so just click on the Install Perian button:
Step 5: A dialog box should come up and ask you for your Password, just type in your password and press OK:
(the Name will probably be something else other than David, unless you have the same user name as mine)
Step 6: Make sure you verify that Perian is installed before you try it out:
Notes: Although it didn’t ask you to “Restart” in the software…I’ve found that I need to restart my Mac before for the software is taking effect.

Tekken The Movie (2010)
In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as
we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by
corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu.
In order to placate the seething masses of this dystopia, Mishima
sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters
battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime
of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through
the eyes of Jin Kazama, a rebellious teenage street fighter who enters
the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he
blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling
chairman – Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close
enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament, but in doing
so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as
exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence
of humanity.
Cast :
- Jon Foo as Jin Kazama: A young and talented fighter who has a dark power within him and is driven by grudge upon the death of his mother, Jun. The Devil Gene he has inherited from his father, Kazuya Mishima, is slowly tearing him apart and consuming his mind with evil and hate. He now realizes that the only way he can save himself is to confront both his father and grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, both of whom have their own agendas for Jin's power. All of this comes to a head at The King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jin's one chance at confronting his father and grandfather to defeat them and redeem his soul. In real life, Jon Foo is a Wushu martial artist apart from acting.
- Ian Anthony Dale as Kazuya Mishima: A powerful karate fighter, Kazuya is the son of Heihachi Mishima and the father of Jin Kazama. He possesses the power of the Devil Gene, which his son inherited.
- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi Mishima: The chairman of the Mishima Corporation, that is being investigated of murder. He is the father of Kazuya and the grandfather of Jin Kazama. An experienced fighter himself, he announces The King of Iron Fist Tournament to crown the best fighter on Earth. However, Heihachi has his own plans for the tournament. Tagawa is known for playing another fighting game character, Shang Tsung, in the first Mortal Kombat film.
- Kelly Overton as Christie Monteiro: A beautiful, versatile Brazilian Capoeira fighter and the protege of Eddy Gordo, whom Jin meets during the tournament and develops a bond with.
- Luke Goss as Steve Fox: A talented boxer from England that was once one of the best fighters in the world but has passed his prime. He acts as Jin's mentor in the film. Goss was the first confirmed actor in the film, and explained that his character has "some fights out of the ring".
- Cung Le as Marshall Law: A Jeet Kune Do fighter. Le is a mixed martial artist, and his presence in the movie was confirmed in 2008 by Kung Fu Cinema.[5]

- Darrin Dewitt Henson as Raven: An international intelligence agent codenamed Raven who sides with Jin during the tournament. He's considered highly skilled and iron-hearted.

Live Action Blood: The Last Vampire
to start in January 2007, a worldwide theatrical release is expected in spring 2008.
The original movie won best animation at the 4th Japan Media Arts Festival and spawned a TV-series 'Blood+' produced from 2005 to 2006. Copyright holder Production I.G. gave it's consent for a live action production by French Pathe through American video distributor Manga Entertainment.
Pathe is the largest independent film studio in France, producing movies, distributing them and managing their movie licenses. The movie will be produced by Bill Kong (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Hero) and directed by Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason). Ji-hyun Jun (My Sassy Girl, Windstruck) will star as lead Saya. The international production aims for a world wide audience.
Production I.G was not payed for the license, but will instead to receive royalties from all revenue created by the movie. Generally, when manga and
anime are adapted into live-action movies outside of Japan, remake rights are usually sold for a flat fee, which in the case of a hit, bars the original copyright holder of further revenue.
If the movie is a hit, this will lead to a sharp increase in revenue through ticket and dvd sales. Since the movie's theatrical release is expected in spring 2008, impact on Production I.G's profits is likely to be seen 2009 or later.

SD (Super Deform) Gundam Toy

While regular Gundam model lines strive for realism by introducing High Grade, Master Grade, and Perfect Grade models, SD Gundam models are designed for (and sometimes by) the customization crowd. Many SD Gundam models are designed such that variations of the stock models, as seen by SD Gundam comics, can be made by using parts from other SD Gundam kits. Modifying SD models is very popular in Japan, more so than the full-sized counterparts. In addition to made-up robots contributed to SD Gundam comics, Bandai also held monthly contests for custom Gundam (usually Musha-based) models.
The model kit series is called "SD Gundam BB Senshi". 2007 saw the release of the 300th kit in the series. Forming the bulk of the series are Musha Gundam kits; the Musha kits have standard gimmicks like detachable armour and others, such as combination and compatibility of parts between kits. In recent years the G Generation kits have introduced a new proportion and enhanced poseability.
Scale is often inconsistent, especially in older kits where many characters from the same storyline are out of scale with one another. However, as the line continued these issues have mostly been addressed and sometimes been intentional. Dai-Shogun characters have often seen their final form released as a much larger figure (in some cases, this is included in the storyline by the character growing to giant size to combat an equally large foe).
Another model kit series called Ganso SD Gundam, though discontinued in the 1990s, covered all the SD Gundam series but mainly focus on Knight Gundam kits. These kits are made from more durable plastic and are bigger than the BB Senshi kits. They can be found at auction sites, usually with high prices.
Century number releases (100, 200, 300, etc) are often marked as special occasions. 2007 saw the release of the 300th BB Senshi kit in official numbering. However, the previous kit had been BB 295. Bandai retroactively filled in the missing five kits alongside releases of kits with the 300+ numbering. These retroactive kits were of units from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, many being recolours of existing kits. Additionally, popular SD Gundam kits have been re-released in waves at around the same time as new kits. These re-releases are broken down by series (Musha, Knight, Command, G-Generation). The popularity of these older kits is such that many have been included in later re-release waves.
A limited subline titled Chi-Bi Senshi (a pun on the mainline's 'BB' and 'chibi', meaning small) consisted of thirteen kits based on Super G-Arms, Knight Gundam, Gundlaner and Musha. The kits were smaller and less complex than full BB Senshi, built on a five point skeleton block which allowed for parts swapping between the kits. This gimmick was also utilised with some of the Knight kits to allow them to combine with larger BB Senshi versions of the 'Kihei' mobile weapons they piloted. Additionally, nine of the Chi-Bi Senshi were released in three triple boxsets, depicting them in widly different transparent colours. The Comic World chapters included with these sets referred to these 'Crystal' versions as dopplegangers made from sentient alien crystals who had chosen to copy the real Gundams.
A related line of merchandise has included the designs from SD Gundam works presented as 'real type' versions, lacking the deformed proportions. This concept has seen a resurgence in recent years, with Bandai issuing a Master Grade model kit of Hajime Katoki's Shin Musha Gundam (appearing in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam) and Banpresto releasing toys and mini-statues based on 'real type' versions of Musha and Knight characters.
SDX
Starting in 2008, the SDX line is a collector aimed series of action figures based on SD Gundam characters. The first figure released, Knight Gundam, was based on a scratchbuilt model of the character made by Hobby Japan for his appearance in Musha Retsuden Zero. Following this was a release of 'Full Armor Knight Gundam' (depicting the character's upgraded form), with figures of Satan Gundam and Command Gundam announced for later in 2009. Being a collector aimed line, the series focuss on high detail, option parts and updating popular SD Gundam characters who are only otherwise represented by decades old model kits and toys. For example, Knight Gundam was released with a display base, alternate facial expressions and armour pieces produced from metal.
